The purpose:
Demonstrate how the ELISA assay is used to diagnose exposure to a disease by testing for the presence of antibodies to the disease in a sample of simulated serum.
Determine the hemagglutinating antibody titer of two different sera.
Demonstrate Complement Mediated Lysis and the sequence of reactions necessary to cause lysis.

- Rack 1: 5 x empty 15ml tubes for Complement Lysis, 2 x 10ml tubes with saline, 1 x 10ml tube with 1%SRBC
- Rack 2: Complement Lysis reagents
- Rack 3: Elisa reagents
- Biorad 12 well strip
- Stack of brown paper
- 96 U-bottom well plate and towels
seal for hemagglutination
- Wash buffer with plastic
1 ml transfer pipette
- Liquid Waste container
- Bio-hazard waste
- Timer
- 5 ml serological pipette and Pi-pump
- 2x Markers (fine tip)
- Pasteur pipettes and bulbs
- Adjustable 1000 µl and 200 µl pipettes and tips
