Cook Lid Speculum
This type of lid speculum is easy to use and provides good surgical exposure and control over the lids. It is particularly useful in patients with a strong blink reflex as orbicularis contraction actually further tightens the speculum preventing lid closure. Removal can be done in a very controlled fashion to minimize the chance of loosening adjustable sutures.
