Mariana Zaichuk

Visiting PhD Student

Mariana obtained her Bachelor in Biology in Kyiv, Ukraine. She completed her Master in Neuroscience in Thomas Euler's lab in Tübingen, Germany, where she studied photoreceptors in mouse retina. Currently she is a graduate student at the ZNZ PhD program in Zürich, Switzerland. Her visit is a result of collaborative effort between Fritschy and Bowie labs aimed to contribute to the understanding of GABA receptors role in disease. Her visit is supported by Laszlo and Etelka Kollar Brain@McGill Graduate / Postdoctoral Research Travel Award.
