Marko Spaic

Marko Spaic grew up in Belgrade, Serbia, before moving to Hamilton, Ontario, in his teens. He is currently finishing his senior year in the Honours Biology and Pharmacology Program at McMaster University. Marko has received a number of awards during his undergraduate study including inclusion on the Dean’s Honour List during his first three years of study as well as being recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship for four consecutive years. Marko is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Currently, Marko is working on a co-op term in Dr. Bowie's lab at McGill University where he will carry out his senior thesis project. His research project involves studying the kinetic behaviour of ionotropic glutamate receptors using electrophysiological techniques on cultured mammalian cells.
