Victoria Carenso is a student from France, currently in her last year of a BSc. majoring in Physiology. After taking general courses in mammalian physiology, neurophysiology became her subject of main interest. Victoria discovered the Bowie Lab and its research through the Ion Channels class, PHGY520. As a result, she became driven to gain more knowledge into cellular and molecular neuroscience and joined the Bowie Lab in January 2021. She is undertaking a PHAR396 research project studying the expression of the Nav1.5 sodium channel in the mammalian brain.
