Megan Brookbank is from Rockwood, Ontario and came to McGill to pursue her Bachelor of Science. She recently completed her final year with a major in Neuroscience. During her studies, Megan gained an interest in cellular and molecular neuroscience, and the ion channels that drive synaptic signalling. Megan joined the Bowie lab in September 2020 to undertake an NSCI 420 research project analyzing the expression of the Nav1.5 sodium channel in the mammalian brain. She stayed on as a Research Assistant following her graduation, and is now involved in projects related to Fragile X syndrome.
