Sarah was born in Lima, Peru before moving to Canada where she went on to complete a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Science at John Abbott College, graduating on the Dean's List. Currently in her second year at McGill University, she is pursuing a joint degree in Computer Science and Biology. Sarah is involved in research at the Bowie Lab under the guidance of supervisors, Dr. Derek Bowie and Dr. David Becerra, where she uses computational modelling to investigate the kinetics of AMPA receptor gating. Her academic interests include Bioinformatics and building computational interfaces. Outside of her studies, she enjoys baking, working out and expressing her artistic side through various creative projects.
