I earned my Bachelor’s in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at McGill in 2016. As part of my undergraduate studies, I completed a PHAR 598 research project in Terry’s lab. I am now starting a Master’s under the joint supervision of Dr. Terry Hébert and Dr. Jason Tanny. My project revolves around investigating the P-TEFb-dependent interaction between Gβγ and RNA polymerase II and its role in the regulation of transcription elongation. Since aberrant gene expression is a hallmark of cancer, I will be examining the relevance of P-TEFb-dependent control of transcription elongation in various cancer cell lines.
