PhD Student

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Pharmacy in 2017  from RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, UAE. With a passion for research, I shifted from pharmacy practice to focus on scientific exploration and was awarded a fully-funded Fulbright Scholarship by the US Department of State to pursue my Master's in Pharmacology & Toxicology at the State University of New York, Buffalo, in 2021. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology at McGill University, starting in 2024, under the co-supervision of Dr. Terry Hébert and Dr. Jason Tanny. My PhD research aims to uncover novel nuclear gene regulatory functions of G protein βγ signaling complexes in cardiac fibroblasts, which could help slow the progression of cardiac fibrosis.
