I graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology in May 2025. During the final year of my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to join the Hébert lab, where I completed a research project focused on understanding coupling partners of the 5-HT2A receptor. This involved treating β-arrestin knock-out, and Gq/11 knock-out HEK 293 cells with various hallucinogenic and non-hallucinogenic compounds. I am excited to continue my research by pursuing a M.Sc. in the Hébert lab! I will be examining the signaling events of several new 5-HT2A ligands using BRET and FRET-based biosensors to explore their potential therapeutic effects for mental health disorders.
