I
completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of
Ottawa in 2023, where I first got the chance to explore
the world of 3D modeling through an internship. That
experience really broadened my perspective and sparked
my curiosity for using innovative approaches to study
disease. Wanting to go deeper, I pursued a master’s in
Molecular Biology at the University of Montreal, where I
worked with liver organoids to model a rare liver
disease. Now, I’m continuing that journey as a PhD
student in the Department of Pharmacology and
Therapeutics in the labs of Dr. Hébert and Dr. Tanny. My
project focuses on developing human iPSC-derived models
of cardiac fibrosis, with the goal of better
understanding the mechanisms behind the disease and
ultimately helping identify more effective therapies.
