I completed my BSc (2022) and MSc (2024) in Pharmacology at McGill, where I gained research experience in the field of reproductive biology. Here, I investigated the role of citrate metabolism in the context of male fertility. With a love for research, I chose to expand my horizons in a different field and was given the opportunity to pursue a PhD in Pharmacology in the Hébert lab. I was first introduced to Dr. Hébert through his PHAR 508 course, and was fascinated by his work on GPCR signaling and disease modeling using human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). My project will involve using hiPSCs to study how cardiomyocyte function is impaired in dilated cardiomyopathy.
