Postdoctoral Fellow

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Monastir-Tunisia in 2010. After that, I studied at the University of Tunis and I received my MSc in 2012 with a major in microbiology. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Montreal with a PhD in Biomedical Science (Excellent grade). As a PhD student, I served as a teaching assistant at the University of Montreal and a research assistant at the Montreal Heart Institute. My research project was about the posttranscriptional regulation of the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) via a novel mechanism involving the IRE1α-EGFR-ERK1/2 signaling pathway. In August 2018, I joined the lab of Dr. Terry Hebert as a postdoctoral fellow. My research project will focus on the consequences of GPCR and G protein signalling in iPSCs, iPSC-derived neurons and cardiomyocytes.
