Postdoctoral Fellow

I completed my undergraduate degree in Medical Biochemistry at Université Claude Bernard - Lyon I in France. After eight months of internship at the Institute for Biology and Chemistry of Proteins in Lyon, I moved in Canada and enrolled in graduate studies. I started my master’s degree in 2010 in the Department of Pharmacology of the Université de Sherbrooke under the supervision of Dr. Sarret and Dr. Leduc. During my MSc, I was involved in the development of a BRET-based assay for high throughput screening in collaboration with Tranzyme Pharma, a biotech company based in Sherbrooke. In 2012, I started my PhD with Dr. Sarret as supervisor, and studied the signaling cascades triggered by new agonists of the neurotensin and apelin receptors with the aim to discover new and safe therapeutics for pain management. I finished in 2018 and joined the lab of Dr. Hébert as a post-doctoral research fellow funded by the FRQ-S. My research project is to understand the role played by heterodimers formed of the apelin receptor and neurotensin receptor 1 or Kappa-opioid receptor in pain modulation.
