Daniel completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Ariel University in Israel, graduating with distinction from the Neuroscience track. During his undergraduate studies Daniel was exposed to the research environment through his position as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Behavioral and Molecular Psychiatry at AU. While in the lab he explored the effects of ketamine on depressive and manic like behaviors, with the goal of evaluating adverse effects of the treatment on diverse populations, utilizing both molecular and behavioral methods. Daniel will be pursuing his MSc at the Bowie lab, studying developmental disorders with respect to the underlying deficits in plasticity. His hobbies include cooking, baking, and outdoor activities.
