Ian Kruk
Master's Student

Ian comes from the prairies of Winnipeg Manitoba. He completed his honours genetics degree at the university of Manitoba. During this time Ian had multiple research experiences. He first worked at the National Microbiology under the direction of Dr. John Kim, validating PCR protocols for their molecular algorithm. He then completed his honours thesis working with zebrafish where his interest in neuroscience began. Ian took that interest to adMare BioInnovations, working on a novel therapeutic for a neurodegenerative disease. During this time Ian was able to connect with Dr. Derek Bowie and Dr. Keith Murai to begin a master’s degree between their labs. In his free time, Ian loves to look at himself in the mirror and climb fake rocks.
