Global Knowledge Translation for Research on Early Identification and Intervention in Autism

2012 Kick-off meeting during IMFAR: Friday 18th May 7:00-8:30 am

 

Description: There is increasing appreciation of the need to enhance research impact through the iterative and dynamic process of knowledge translation: The synthesis, dissemination, exchange, and application of knowledge to improve quality oflife for people affected by autism. This SIG will initiate dialogue, identifying knowledge gaps, barriers, and action priorities with a particular emphasis on global knowledge translation in the area of early identification and intervention for autism.To view a meeting program click here.

2012 Autism Research Special Issue: Global Perspectives on Autism

This year’s meeting will showcase examples of knowledge translation activities from around the globe and will invite attendees to participate in setting priorities for the SIG. We will also launch the June Special issue of Autism Research: Global Perspectives on autism. Summaries of all articles can be accessed here.
