Cancer Care

The clinical faculty in the Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology include those specializing in medical, surgical or radiation oncology, palliative care and psychosocial oncology. They are part of the McGill network for cancer care which includes the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) and St. Mary's Hospital Center (SMH). The network provides care for patients with breast, colorectal, lung, dermatologic, gynecologic, head & neck, hematologic, hepatobiliary, neurological and urologic cancers as well as sarcomas.  There are also specialties in pediatric oncology, adolescent and young adult oncology, geriatric oncology and palliative care as well as programs in cancer prevention, cancer genetics, cancer nutrition and rehabilitation, and psychosocial oncology.  In addition, patients have access to novel, cutting-edge treatments through clinical trials. Patient support programs provide additional information, guidance and practical support for patients and their families.
