schematic representation of the V2 receptor
The cDNA of the AVPR2 gene predicts a polypeptide of 371 amino
acids with a structure typical of G-protein-coupled receptors with seven
transmembrane domains (M. Birnbaumer et al., Molecular cloning of the receptor
for human antidiuretic hormone. Nature 357:333-335, 1992).

The extracellular, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic domains are defined
according to B. Mouillac et al., The binding site of neuropeptide vasopressin
V1a receptor. The Journal of Biological Chemistry 270:25771-25777,
1995.
