AVPR2

schematic representation of the V2 receptor

The cDNA of the AVPR2 gene predicts a polypeptide of 371 amino acids with a structure typical of G-protein-coupled receptors with seven transmembrane domains (M. Birnbaumer et al., Molecular cloning of the receptor for human antidiuretic hormone. Nature 357:333-335, 1992).
See GenBank accession number Z11687.

The extracellular, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic domains are defined according to B. Mouillac et al., The binding site of neuropeptide vasopressin V1a receptor. The Journal of Biological Chemistry 270:25771-25777, 1995.
