Mutations that cause nephrogenic or neurogenic diabetes insipidus have been identified in the following genes: 
  • arginine vasopressin receptor 2 (AVPR2)
  • aquaporin-2 (AQP2)
  • prepro-arginine-vasopressin-neurophysin II (AVP)
Information on mutations can be retrieved by:
