Tumor
Board
For referring
physicians only:
The members of the
Multidisciplinary Team meet on a weekly basis to discuss the
management of the patients referred to the clinic with a new
diagnosis of gynecological cancer or recurrent disease.
At these meetings,
the radiological studies are reviewed in depth and a pathologist
specialized in gynecological malignancies reviews all tissue
specimens with the team. Specialists from each treatment
discipline (surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology,
palliative care and specialized nursing)
are present to participate in the development of the optimal
treatment plan.
