Colposcopy Clinic
Women with an abnormal Pap smear test are seen at the colposcopy
clinics. These clinics are held both at the Royal Victoria
Hospital and at the Montreal General Hospital. Colposcopy refers
to the examnination of the cervix under magnification, using a
microscope (colposcope) to identify the area from which the
abnormal cells have originated. This examination is painless and
is done on an out-patient procedure.
