Applicants are invited to apply for a full-time appointment as an Associate Professor (Tenure Track) in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Vanderbilt University. A track record in the studies of molecular control of sodium balance and hypertension is required. The ability to use an electron microscope to perform in situ measurements of tissue electrolytes is needed. Applicants with prior publications in the area of understanding of sodium handling in normal and pathological states will be particularly suited for this position. The investigator will also have the opportunity to conduct his or her research program and will be expected to compete successfully for external funding.
