EPIB 602 -- Fundamentals of Epidemiology II (3 credits)
EPIB 602 is a companion course to EPIB 601. The course is intended for graduate students in the MSc and PhD degree programs. EPIB 602 is designed in a modular format and will introduce students to specific topics in epidemiologic methods that are not covered in EPIB 601. Topics will include descriptive epidemiology (module 1), population sampling (module 2), measurement principles in epidemiologic studies, including questionnaire development, and qualitative methods (module 3). Introductory public health principles/methods will also be presented including outbreak investigation, public health surveillance, health promotion, and environmental epidemiology (module 4).
EPIB 615 -- Introduction to Infectious Disease Epidemiology (3 credits)
Introduction to the field of infectious disease epidemiology taught from a public health perspective. Topics include analytic methods, study design, outbreak investigations, surveillance, vaccine development and evaluations, screening, modeling, and infectious causes of cancer or chronic diseases.
