'The Heritability of Otitis Media, A Twin and Triplet Study' (Casselbrant et al), JAMA. 1999;282:2125-2130 http://jama.ama-assn.org/ notes from JH I have taken the data from the second data file she sent me and put it as a plain ascii file, with numbers from 1-126 for set # --- Dr. Hanley, Attached please find an Excel file containing the numerical values for the datapoints in Figure 2 of 'The Heritability of Otitis Media, A Twin and Triplet Study' (Casselbrant et al), appearing in JAMA December 1999. The three values in the file correspond to proportion of time with MEE for Sib 1, proportion of time with MEE for Sib 2 and zygosity, respectively. If you have any questions do feel free to contact me. Marcia Kurs-Lasky ==== I asked her to send the triplet data too (JH) > Thanks very much for the file.. > > the only q I have is about the few triplets you had .. > > do you have those separately or did you make up pairs from them? > > if you have separate values for them, would it be possible to have them > too? One of my uses of these data will be to show how an interclass > correlation can be calculated when there are several (not just 2 ) values > per family.. > > Again, thanks.. ====== so she did... Jim, I have updated and attached the Twin\Triplet Study Excel file such that it now contains proportion of time with MEE for sibs A and B, in the case of twin sets, and for sibs A, B and C, in the case of triplet sets. Please note that Figure 2 in the Casselbrant paper displays the proportion of time with MEE only for 2 of the 3 sibs within a triplet set, corresponding to A and B in the attached file. Again, if you have any questions ... Marcia
