RESEARCH PROJECT

Defining The Role of Innate Immune Cell Infiltrates during Breast Cancer Liver Metastasis

BACKGROUND

After completing my B.Sc in Biochemistry at UBC, I started a Ph.D in Experimental Medicine at McGill in September 2013. Through laser capture microdissection, we were able to identify genes that eventually led us to the importance of the innate immune cells in promoting the formation of breast cancer liver metastases and in this project, I will be examining the mechanisms through which these infiltrates promote this process.
