On a short and long-term basis, these training courses are intended to help reduce shortages all across the province of qualified specialists in screening, driving ability evaluation, vehicle adaptation and driving retraining. Moreover, these courses offer qualified professionals the advantages of a solid expertise, based on evidence, which will enable them to effectively intervene among different targeted populations.

More specifically, these courses will enable:

• the training of health professionals in screening;
  
  
• the training of occupational therapists in driving evaluation, retraining and
  vehicle adaptation all across the province;
  
  
• the dissemination and use of standardized approaches to screening, evaluation, retraining and guidance regarding vehicle adaptation;
  
  
• the development of a critical mass of professionals qualified in screening, driving evaluation, retraining and motor vehicle adaptation, responding to an increased need among the population.
