GRADUATE PROGRAM IN PHARMACOLOGY

Admission Deadlines Applicants please note:

**APPLICANTS**:

Please allow 2-3 weeks for the documents you have sent to appear on Minerva. Ensure that your name and date of birth indicated on the documents are exactly the same as those you specified on your application.

**Applications are deemed “complete” when the application and all supporting documents have been received. Canadian Applicants may be asked to complete five (5) individual interviews with members of the Graduate Training Committee. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. International applicants may be asked to complete telephone interviews if necessary.

Applicants are forewarned that applications submitted after the Departmental Date for Guaranteed Consideration may not be considered for admission.

All applicants must:

  • Hold one of the following degrees: B.Sc., M.Sc., M.D., D.D.S/D.D.M or D.V.M
  • Have a background in the following disciplines:
    • Health Sciences
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Mathematics
    • Physical Sciences

Admission to the program is based on the applicant’s:

  • Academic record (3.00/4.00 or 3.20/4.00 in the last 2 years of study)
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • Interviews with members of the Graduate Training Committee
  • Test scores (when applicable)

Applications and supporting documents should be submitted to the Department as early as possible in the academic year.

Admission Requirements for McGill Students:

Applications will be considered upon receipt of the following documents:

- Completed official McGill University online application form www.mcgill.ca/applying/graduate

- Statement of Research Interest and Goals (click here)

- Your CV

- Two (2) confidential letters of recommendation preferably from professors or research-related employers. There is no "standard form" and letters must be printed/written on letterhead. (Letters may come by email as an attachment. The email addresses must be associated with the referee (hotmail, Gmail, yahoo, etc. addresses will NOT be accepted)

Admission Requirements for Québec/Canadian/Permanent Residents:

Applications will be considered upon receipt of the following documents:

- Completed official McGill University online application form www.mcgill.ca/applying/graduate

- Statement of Research Interest and Goals (click here)

- Two (2) official transcripts sent directly from all universities attended.

- Your CV

- Two (2) confidential letters of recommendation preferably from professors or research-related employers. There is no "standard form" and letters must be printed/written on letterhead. (The hardcopy letters must be sent directly to the department or included in your package. We do not yet accept electronic letters from referees outside of McGill University)

- Official GRE ( http://www.gre.org) (only for applicants who have attended University outside of North America)
