Projects for Thesis
Supervision:
1.
Role
of nuclear coregulators of transcription and changes in chromatin in
response and resistance to epigenetic therapies in acute promyelocytic
leukemia and other hematopoietic malignancies.
2.
Investigation of mechanisms linking generation of reactive oxygen
species and induction of apoptosis by arsenic trioxide in cancer cells.
Dr. Mann also studies similar mechanisms involved in the toxic effects
of arsenic in the environment.
3.
Development
of novel therapeutics for breast cancer, with a focus on new pathways
regulating protein synthesis, modification and degradation.
