Projects for Thesis Supervision:

1. Role of nuclear coregulators of transcription and changes in chromatin in response and resistance to epigenetic therapies in acute promyelocytic leukemia and other hematopoietic malignancies.

2. Investigation of mechanisms linking generation of reactive oxygen species and induction of apoptosis by arsenic trioxide in cancer cells. Dr. Mann also studies similar mechanisms involved in the toxic effects of arsenic in the environment.

3. Development of novel therapeutics for breast cancer, with a focus on new pathways regulating protein synthesis, modification and degradation.
